Care Of Children In Hospital

This 11-minute video highlights the changes in working relationships between health professionals, parents and children in hospital over the past 30 - 40 years.

Although in recent times parents have been able to stay in hospital with children, and be involved in care in some instances the true value of the role that parents and children play has not always been fully accepted by health professionals.

This video challenges health professionals to formally question their beliefs and practice and to work with parents and children to incorporate the key elements of the emerging partnership paradigm.
