Interchange provides personalised respite and social support services to families of children and young people with a disability. There are 16 separate, community based Interchange programs across Victoria, located in 26 metropolitan and rural areas.

Volunteers are especially recruited by all Interchange programs to help give families a break from their demanding caring role, and to provide the children with quality experiences and new relationships. The children or young people have a range of physical, intellectual or sensory disabilities.

Interchange's main service is the Host Carer program, where a volunteer is matched with, and cares for, a child with a disability in the volunteer's home on a regular basis. This may be one day or one weekend a month. Ongoing training and support are provided to maintain these vital relationships.

Contact Interchange Victoria on 1300 300 436 for more information.
