The Association for the Wellbeing of Children in Healthcare celebrated the 40th Anniversary at NSW Parliament House hosted by The Hon. Jillian Skinner, New South Wales Minister for Health and Minister for Medical Research. We were joined by past and present members of AWCH as well as our professional and community supporters. Several AWCH pioneers were there to join in the celebration. How inspirational it was to hear them talk about the trials they faced during the early days of the Association!

The Association for the Wellbeing of Children in Healthcare celebrated the 25th Anniversary of the AWCH Hospital Ward Grandparent Scheme.Our Patron, the Governor-General of Australia, Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO hosted an afternoon tea at Admiralty House, Kirribilli on 10 October 2012. The afternoon tea was enjoyed by ward grandparent volunteers and staff from all the NSW hospitals that have the Scheme. Read all about it here.
